Milton's Medicines
Milton gets many different treatments on a regular basis and I thought I would review some of them where. Please contact me if you would like more information about any of these things.
Infrared Lights - I bought the REVITAVET therapy light system for Milton. There are 7 different settings, all which emit a different frequency. Milton gets treated everyday with the lights. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, I use settings 5, 4, 2 all for 5 minutes each which is supposed to promote bone healing. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, I use settings 2, 4, 5 all for 5 minutes each which is supposed to promote cartilage healing. If Milton looks sore at all, I start with setting 7 which helps to reduce pain.
PEMF - Cali Brandt has been using her Magna wave therapy machine on both of Milton's front knees for 15 minutes a session. He currently has had 6 sessions from Sept to Dec 2019 and we will be continuing these treatments in 2020. I notice a huge difference in Milton the day after one of these treatments!
LYP - The little yellow pill! This pill is a special formulated pill that helps to reduce oxidative stress at a cellular level. It helps the body to reduce inflammation among many other things! It is a combination of 5 different ingredients: Tumeric, Bacopa, Ashwagandha, Green Tea and Milk Thistle. I personally take this product myself and it has helped tremendously with my herniated disc of 2018. I have Milton on this along with my show horse, Finn, and my arthritic gelding, Sham. An amazing product! Please contact me for more information as I believe in this product so much that I became a distributor!
Other herbs - I also give Milton more tumeric and ashwagandha along with golden seal and a bone builder, Strontium. He gets this everyday along with his LYP.
Corrective trimming - Up until Nov 2019, I was manipulating Milton's feet every 2 weeks to give him a more lateral (outside) breakover of his toe by keep the inside of his foot longer. Since Nov 2019 I have been trimming them to be balanced.
Pentosan - I have yet to inject Milton with pentosan but its on my list of things to try if and when I need to!
